POINT OF USE TAP FILTERS FOR PROTECTION AGAINST LEGIONELLA

  • Reliable and immediate protection against Legionella
  • Cost Effective
  • Easy and quick installation
  • Compatible with thermal or chemical disinfection procedures

Legionella from the wash basin, faucet or shower pose a source of danger, if water vapour / aerosols are inhaled and reach into the lungs for example while washing dishes, brushing teeth or washing hair. The tap filter provides an immediate protection against Legionella and removes 99.99999 % of Legionella from the tap water.

SANITARY WATER POINT OF USE TAP FILTERS

  • AS-TAP

    Legionella retention: 99.99999 % (Log 7)
    Membrane: Hollow fiber
Operating time: up to 2 months (depending on water quality)
    Chlorine resistance: ≤ 10 ppm*
    Connection: Quick-release coupling * for short-term (1 h) 400,000 ppm for chemical disinfection

The installation of the tap filter is very easy: Unscrew the flow regulator from the faucet and install the suitable quick-release coupling. Now, the filter AS TAP can be easily installed by clicking on the quick-release coupling onto the tap. The Legionella filter can be used during thermal or chemical disinfection as part of renovation measures without affecting Legionella retention.

  • AS-SHOWER

    Legionella retention: 99.99999 % (Log 7)
    Membrane: Hollow fiber
Operating time: up to 2 months (depending on water quality)
    Chlorine resistance: ≤ 10 ppm*
    Connection: G 1/2” * for short-term (1 h) 400,000 ppm for chemical disinfection

The installation of the AS SHOWER chrome is easy: simply replace the existing shower head with the AS SHOWER chrome. There is no need to change filter cartridges or carry out the periodic internal disinfection of the shower head – simply use the AS SHOWER chrome for the prescribed operating time and then replace it with a new one. Additionally, the AS SHOWER chrome can be used during thermal or chemical disinfection without affecting the filter performance.

  • AS-WALLSHOWER

is a wall-mounted point-of-use water filter to stop pathogens. Its hollow fibre membrane retains 99.99999 % of Brevundimonas diminuta, the smallest of the water bacteria, and thus holds back Legionella and all other waterborne pathogens such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

The specifications for sterile filtration are thus fulfilled, as has been demonstrated for AS WALLSHOWER comp in the appropriate tests.

The filter has a service life of up to 120 days and supplies germfree water at ideal flow rates, providing the user with reliable protection against all waterborne pathogens. The shower filter provides a pleasant showering experience with a good shower stream even at low water pressures.

  • AS-TUBE

in-line filtration system comprises of a high quality stainless steel filter housing and the sterile filtration Cartridge MF5 providing an adaptable, effective barrier against waterborne bacteria for both hot and cold water systems.

The Cartridge MF5 is equipped with a hollow fibre filter membrane ensuring 7 Log reduction of Brevundimonas diminuta. This corresponds with the FDA definition of sterile filtered water and provides the guarantee that the filter holds back all waterborne pathogens such as pseudomonas and Legionella bacteria which may be present in the water system.

Additionally, filtration does not alter the chemical composition of the water in any way.

POINT OF USE TAP FILTERS FOR PROTECTION AGAINST LEGIONELLA

Safe protection against waterborne bacteria

Operating time of up to 2 months

Hygienic design to avoid retrograde contamination

Offset outlet for more flexibility

Water supply systems are a major source of nosocomial infections. Point of use membrane filters installed directly at the water outlet are an established method of protecting patients against waterborne bacteria.

In medical facilities, point of use bacterial filters are used either reactively, as an immediate solution in the event of contamination with pathogens such as Legionella or pseudomonas or proactively, to deliver consistent protection to high risk patients from the ever present risk of infection.

  • BACLYSER IL DENT

The Baclyser® IL DENT is a CE-marked medical device specifically designed for in-line installation in the cold water supply to dental units.

The Baclyser® IL DENT ensures the reliable protection against waterborne bacteria from the water supply to the dental unit over the whole operating time of up to 6 month.

BACLYSER

The Baclyse series are CE-marked medical devices. These are disposable, point-of-use, hollow fibre membrane water filters with a proven retention efficiency of 7 Log steps for Brevundimonas diminuta. This complies with the FDA definition of sterile filtered water.

Thus, all waterborne bacteria such as pseudomonas and legionella are blocked by these tap filters. The hygienic design and use of bacteriostatic material in the filter outlet prevents retrograde contamination. The filter is designed to deliver a consistent bacteriological performance at the design flow rate for the up to 2-months dependent on water quality.

On expiry of the operating time, the used filter can be easily changed via the quick release coupling and then disposed of responsibly. The individual barcode on each filter supports traceability and documentation processes within hospitals hygiene routines.
